wind, sand, and 14 models

Do you remember Tuesday morning here in Madison, Wisconsin? It was a balmy 80 degrees by 9 am, but we had 20 mph winds. Well, I had a photo shoot for Haiden Surf (a locally mom-owned business!). After rescheduling last week’s photo shoot due to 50 degrees weather, we went for it.

Now, I should mention that 14 little models would be joining us. None of them over the age of 5. And all, but one, were boys.

When I arrived a few minutes early for the shoot at Madison’s Vilas Beach, I glared at the dry sand blowing into my car. At least the wet sand near the water wasn’t moving. As people started arriving, we laughed at the situation, but the boys didn’t seem to mind at all. Anyway, this was a photo shoot for beachwear – isn’t there often an ocean breeze/wind?!

All said and done, we settled in, the boys got their outfits and we started the shoot. It went really well and there was no drama. Just boys being boys.

Due to the arrival of my third baby (!) around Thanksgiving, sessions for holiday gifts and cards must be scheduled before October 6th to ensure timely delivery in mid-November.
